Swedish soul musician Tingsek is back with new music! Today is the release date of the new single ”The Fiddlers”, and this fall Tingsek will release his first studio album in 7 years.
Tingsek has with great success given us Swedish soul with influences from American soul tradition since the early days of the second millennium. Being a fairly under represented musical genre in Sweden, Tingsek quickly gained a large fan base with his uniqueness, karisma and excellent song writing skills. Besides from his solo carrier Tingsek is also a member of the celebrated Swedish reggae band Helt Off, and he often makes guest appearances on live shows with artist Timbuktu.
Tingsek has during the past few years focused on collaborations with other artists, most recently and the largest project yet as songwriter, musician and producer to critically acclaimed American artist Allen Stone on his latest album Radius. Stone is currently touring Europe and Tingsek joined him on stage last week on his shows in Stockholm and Copenhagen.
“The Fiddlers” is the first lovely taste of the upcoming album and it shows us what we can expect: a slightly more mature and conscious Tingsek, high quality well-furbished musical components that really showcase his abilities, and a nostalgic but hopeful and melodic soul that leaves you wanting to hear more.
