We are happy to announce that DJ Premier will be visiting Scandinavia with full live band!
DJ Premier, the instrumental half of legendary hip hop duo Gang Starr with other half emcee Guru, and half of the recently formed hip hop duo PRhyme alongside rapper Royce Da 5’9”, never cease to be innovative and up to date. He is now hitting the road again and will be visiting Scandinavia with gigs in Stockholm at Debaser Medis and Oslo at John Dee.
DJ Premier will take the central role as DJ/MC, but with him he also brings, for the first time, a full live band with horns, keys, bass and drums. This funky new ensemble is a celebration of DJ Premier’s incredible catalogue and features all the hits he has produced for artists like The Notorious B.I.G, Nas, Mos Def, Common, D’Angelo, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Gang Starr. Tomas Andersson Wij på sommarturné
I höstas släppte Tomas Andersson Wij sitt nionde album, “Mörkrets hastighet”. Han fick Evert Taube-stipendiet och Bonniers gav ut hans sångtexter i bokform. Under snart 17 år har TAW, utan hjälp av stora radiohits, vuxit till en av våra främsta berättare – både i och mellan låtarna. Han är även en efterfrågad låtskrivare och översättare åt andra. Freddie Wadling, Helen Sjöholm, Bo Kaspers Orkester och Totta Näslund är några av de som har spelat in hans låtar.
Denna sommar turnerar han i den form som många föredrar att se honom: ensam med gitarr, piano och munspel. Med sin gedigna låtlatalog, ett flyhänt gitarrspel och en förmåga att snabbt gå mellan humor och allvar är Tomas Andersson Wij unik. Han är en av få samtida artister som ensam kan trollbinda en publik.

The first episode of the podcast was released May 16th in 2011, almost four years ago to the day, and Danko has since then covered an impressive range of topics and has had a number of prestigious guests on the air. His friend, comedian, writer and punk/rock singer Nick Flanagan has been his cohost since the early days of the podcast, and has since returned for almost every episode.
During these past four years the podcast has evolved into a low-key, often fascinating and funny conversation between Danko and Nick concerning just about anything and everything, from rock music, chipotle and metal to Lady Gaga and children’s books and often accompanied by a guest. The podcast has had some pretty impressive guests come through, like Phil Campbell (Motörhead), Henry Rollins, Dizzy Reed & Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses), Jim Breuer, Brendan Canning (Broken Social Scene), Ron Sexsmith, Leslie Feist, Damien Abraham (Fucked Up) and Scott Thompson (Kids in the Hall).
In the hundredth episode Danko revisits some of the high-points from the previous 99 episodes and also talks about why he first started the podcast and why he continues to do it:
“Whether people know it or not, I’m not the most outgoing gregarious fellow. I like to save it all, and spurt it out on stage. After that, I keep to myself. So, I’ve used the podcast to deliberately put myself in social situations. Of course the lure is, I get to be personal and social with people I admire, and they always yield some pretty great stories.”

Jag fick balansera på Brooklyn bridge, leta i tre dagar efter den perfekta American pancakes frukosten och bli bortschasad av poliser när vi råkade gå vilse i de farligare kvarteren i Brooklyn. Det var värt ALLT för att göra den finaste New York videon ni sett! Den blev precis sådär melankolisk och fin som jag hade tänkt och den kompletterar låten så bra tycker jag! Hoppas ni gillar! /Julia
