MRTN – new addition to the Bad Taste Events family

We have previously booked MRTN in the US, but as of now we take over the booking of the rest of the world as well.

MRTN is a well known name on the DJ & club scene in Sweden. Through the recent years he has played in most places around the country, as well as at festivals like Roskilde, Way Out West, Emmaboda and Malmö Festival, to name a few. He has shared the stage with the likes of Justice, Skrillex, Erol Alkan, Crookers, Yelle et al and played at Eliason Merit Award in Los Angeles along with Rebecca & Fiona.

MRTN mixes and provides the perfect mix of house, techno, electro and deep noises, which puts the dance floor on fire wherever he plays.

He also makes his own music and has had two major hits on P3 with the tracks “Slow” and most recently “Illusion”, both has been on high rotation for a long time and won competitions against Avicci and Swedish House Mafia. The songs have also received support from artists like Two Door Cinema Club, Yelle, Mixhell, Style of Eye, Surkin etc.

2015 will be one to say the least active year with new singles and mixtapes, an exclusive Disco Belle mix and remixes for artists such as; Movits, Den Svenska Björnstammen and Sharks. More info about MRTN can be found at the links below.

DJ Premier confirmed for Vanguard Festival

It’s with great pleasure we can let you know that legendary DJ Premier is confirmed for Vanguard Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark between July 31-Aug 1st.

DJ Premier (also known as Preem, Premo, or Primo for short), is an American record producer and DJ, and was the instrumental half of the hip hop duo Gang Starr, together with emcee Guru, also the half of the hip hop duo PRhyme together with Royce Da 5’9”.

Alla vill till himmelen – 10 år

Den här veckan är det 10 år sedan Timbuktu släppte skivan “Alla vill till himmelen men ingen vill dö”, en skiva och en låt som fortfarande står som en milstolpe inom svensk hip hop och svensk musikhistoria. Detta var många år innan vi började jobba tillsammans med Jason och oavsett vart i livet alla på kontoret befann sig då så berörde den lika djupt och högst personliga relationer till skivan skapades för samtliga.

Genomslagskraften visade sig också när 100 personer från det skånska kulturlivet i slutet av förra året röstade fram Alla vill till himmelen som den viktigaste skånska låten genom tiderna: http://www.sydsvenskan.se/kultur–nojen/skanes-viktigaste-latar–nedrakningen-har-borjat/
