Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to Ericsson Globe

We can now happily announce that the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis show at Annexet in Stockholm, Sweden on October 4th will move up to Ericsson Globe (on the same date). Since the tickets ran out a few weeks ago the demand has gotten bigger and bigger and now we can finally release more tickets to what will be the show of the year!

Thrift Shop, Can’t Hold Us and Same Love still rotate on radio all over the world and after their fantastic performance at Bråvalla earlier this summer we are expecting nothing less than a love fest. Their fame does not seem to subside and they are selling out arenas in Europe as well as in the US; Macklemore himself is on the cover on the latest addition of the prestigious Rolling Stone Magazine.

The show is presented together with Kulturbolaget and NRJ. Tickets will be released tomorrow (16/8) at 09.00 here: www.ticnet.se/event/284977

Mayer Hawthorne coming to Sweden in November

Bad Taste Events and Kulturbolaget are happy to present a show with Mayer Hawthorne on November 4th. Hawthorne who last week released his new album “Where Does This Door Go” is finally coming back to Sweden for this exclusive club show in Malmö.

A lot has happened since he took the step from DJ, producer and records collector to singer with his retro debut album in 2008. Immediately popular amongst the critics he has since toured with great names such as Bruno Mars, Erykah Badu and Janelle Monae to name a few.

On his new album he has been collaborating with Pharell Williams and followed the footsteps of Hall & Oates and Michael McDonald to land in a world described as a meeting between “Steely Dan and Beastie Boys”.

We are looking forward to a Monday out of the ordinary!

Monitor 66; new add to the BTE roster

We’re happy to announce that Martin Ringstrand of Stockholm Beat Connection and Bad Taste Events is now handling the bookings of Monitor 66 in Sweden.

Monitor 66 heralded their arrival with a simple and clear manifesto ‘We make sunset inspired music with funky basslines’. To date they have lived up to their creed with a string of well received remixes and their summer hit single ‘Triscuits’ on House of Disco Records which gained support all around the globe from celebrated artists like Aeroplane and The Magician.

These two friends from Sweden have started to spread their manifesto worldwide to the converted masses with accomplished sets in some of the best clubs internationally and are hard at work on a string of exciting upcoming releases that will ensure that if you haven’t heard of them already – it won’t stay that way for long.

Timbuktu – Budskapet
