This one goes out to Finland; Mac Miller is coming back next summer. This time to play Pori Jazz in July, 2014. He’s amongst the first official artist to be released for the festival alongside rock legend Patti Smith.

Dilated Peoples to Roskilde Festival
Finally the three piece underground hip-hop legends Dilated Peoples are coming back to Scandinavia. They are set to play the Roskilde Festival 2014 in Denmark next summer. Their intelligent tunes ooze integrity, grit and rebellious Rasta roots. Dilated Peoples visited Roskilde Festival back in 1999 with a rising underground profile and will now finally return with a brand-new album.
Joey Bada$$ on the line up for Øyafestival
Joey Bada$$ is one of the first to be officially on the roster for Øyafestival 2014. The Norwegian festival released their first artists today with a diverse line up including the Brooklyn native rapper alongside Neutral Milk Hotel, Omar Soleyman, Jonathan Wilson and Hanne Kolstø to mention a few.
Eliason Award After Party with Third Party and MRTN
The Eliason Merit Awards honoring Steve Angello is soon coming up, and we can now share the news that the progressive house music duo Third Party will perform at the Eliason Award after party. Third Party is signed to Angello’s label Size Records and has worked with him previously as well as remixed tracks by Swedish House Mafia. With their emotionally charged house music with game changing remixes they will keep the party booming until the early hours. Like that wasn’t enough; also performing is Swedish DJ MRTN who will kick off the evening. As one of Sweden’s most prominent DJs he will no doubly start the party with a bang.

The Eliason Merit Award is an exclusive event hosted every year by Swedish American Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles. On the board of directors we are represented by Bad Taste president Björn Barnekow. Steve Angello receives the award for his persistent musical innovation that has put Sweden in the international spotlight and helped strengthen the relations between The United States and Sweden.
The red carpet event will take place at the W Hollywood Hotel’s famous rooftop with unparalleled views of Los Angeles on Friday November 22nd. The award ceremony will feature top performances, including a celebrity-packed after party in Steve Angello’s honor.

Navid Modiri & Gudarna tillbaka med nytt album och turné
Den 18/9 släpper Navid Modiri & Gudarna sitt mycket efterlängtade album ”Ska du verkligen skjuta ner månen med den där?” – deras första fullängdare sen 2008.
Efter tre album och idoga turnerande bestämde sig bandet under 2009 att det var dags för en paus. Navid blev pappa. Povel åkte runt jorden och spelade med Robyn. Kristofer startade en egen studio. Christian spelade i Palestina. Conrad släppte en soloskiva och Jacob startade en webbyrå.
Det var inte förrän inför Ung Cancers fest i december 2012 som bandet återförenades för att göra en spelning. Inför spelningen låste bandmedlemmarna in sig i studion för att repa in sina gamla låtar. Istället för att komma ut välrepade kom de ut välrepade och med 14 nya låtar. Ett första smakprov kom i våras i form av singeln ”Någon håll i mig” och om ett par dagar släpps singel nummer två i form av ”Det är inte lätt”.
För att fira albumsläppet kommer bandet göra ett fåtal exklusiva releasefester i början av oktober för att sedan fylla på schemat senare i höst och under nästa år.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to Ericsson Globe
We can now happily announce that the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis show at Annexet in Stockholm, Sweden on October 4th will move up to Ericsson Globe (on the same date). Since the tickets ran out a few weeks ago the demand has gotten bigger and bigger and now we can finally release more tickets to what will be the show of the year!
Thrift Shop, Can’t Hold Us and Same Love still rotate on radio all over the world and after their fantastic performance at Bråvalla earlier this summer we are expecting nothing less than a love fest. Their fame does not seem to subside and they are selling out arenas in Europe as well as in the US; Macklemore himself is on the cover on the latest addition of the prestigious Rolling Stone Magazine.
