With these two tracks they’ve set the tone and the bar for the rest of the album!
Danko have already announced their biggest Canadian tour in many years along with a string of headline dates across Europe and the first batch of summer festivals. Danko theme song + live tweeting from WWE Royal Rumble tonight
Danko Jones’ anthemic track “Gonna Be A Fight Tonight”, taken from their upcoming album, was recently chosen as the theme song for WWE’s Royal Rumble and has been used extensively during all WWE shows and online clips in the past week. Today the wait is finally over. The big match will take place at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia at 8PM Eastern time tonight (and also be shown as a Pay Per View event reaching 650 million households) and Danko will be livetweeting throughout the entire fight! Canadian tour announced for Danko Jones
The spring and summer for Danko Jones are shaping up to be great and they’re preparing to take their show on the road once again. Danko Jones releases first single from upcoming album
Two months ago Danko Jones treated their fans to the first taste of their upcoming album ”Fire Music” – a fast paced runaway freight train of a track titled ”Gonna Be A Fight Tonight”. Now it’s time for round two.
”Are you ready for the greatest feeling? Are you ready for the time of your life?”. Danko’s smooth talking alter ego The Mango Kid reemerges on the first single and proceeds to ask the question ”Do You Wanna Rock” while simultaneously giving us the answer by letting Rich Knox’s cow bell set the pace for one of the catchiest, wildest and most infectious Danko tracks to date. A video was shot in Toronto before the holidays and will be released at the end of the month.
With the release of ”Do You Wanna Rock” on January 9:th the stage has been set for Danko Jones’ highly anticipated 7:th studio album, ”Fire Music”, due for release February 6:th – 13:th. Their world tour kicks off with them headlining a sold out Radio Rock cruise leaving Helsinki on January 31:st, after which they will be spending the rest of the year on the road.

Bad Taste söker två medarbetare
Bad Taste grundades i Kävlinge 1992 och är idag ett av Skandinaviens största oberoende musikbolag. Vi är baserade i Lund men har även kontor i Stockholm samt Los Angeles och agerar idag som skivbolag, bokningsbolag och management för ett stort antal svenska och internationella akter inom en rad olika genrer. Vi jobbar även med att licensera musik – både ur vår egen katalog och genom samarbetsavtal med andra bolag – till aktörer inom film / TV / reklam etc. Vi arbetar med andra ord på bred front inom musikbranschen och verkar så väl inom Sverige som internationellt.
Vi är för närvarande sju heltidsanställda och söker nu ytterligare två medarbetare för att vidare utveckla vår verksamhet.
TJÄNST 1 – Heltid
Till vårt kontor i Lund söker vi efter en person som kan assistera oss andra i det dagliga arbetet men även ha egna ansvarsområden inom främst administration och logistik. Detta kan innebära allt från att hjälpa till med royaltyavräkningar till att sköta försändelser och även om vi förväntar oss att du efter ett tag blir självgående så kommer du givetvis få all nödvändig upplärning för att klara av dina uppgifter.
Som person är du positiv, engagerad och noggrann samt förstås flexibel, stresstålig och allt det där andra som brukar stå med i platsannonser. Ödmjukhet, en vilja att lära och ett stort musikintresse är andra givna egenskaper. Vi erbjuder i sin tur en kreativ arbetsmiljö som präglas av god gemenskap, framåtanda och en vilja att utvecklas, både på det individuella planet och som företag. Vi vill dock framhålla att det här allra främst rör sig om en administrativ tjänst, men vi hoppas att du på längre sikt även kan ta större del av den kreativa verksamheten och att det är en tankegång du delar.
Att du mer än väl behärskar både svenska och engelska i tal och skrift är en förutsättning. Andra språk utöver det kan vara en bonus. Goda kunskaper inom MS Office är ett måste och ytterligare kunskap inom t ex sociala medier, webb och grafik kan vara till din fördel. Vi ser helst att du har B-körkort men håller det inte som ett krav om du är rätt person i övrigt.

Med bas antingen på kontoret i Lund eller Stockholm söker vi en bokningsagent/promoter. Ett stort musikintresse måste finnas i grunden och i ännu större utsträckning än för admintjänsten är stresstålighet och flexibilitet både vad det gäller arbetstider och resor absoluta förutsättningar. Som person bör du vara driven, utåtriktad och kreativ med en god känsla för så väl kommunikation som siffror. I ditt arbete kommer du dagligen ha kontakt med allt från artister, agenter, spelställen, festivaler, managements, media med mera och det krävs att du är rak, tillgänglig och kan lösa problem på stående fot. Även för denna tjänsten är det en förutsättning att du mer än väl behärskar både svenska och engelska i tal och skrift. Så väl budgetering, förhandling och planering av marknadsföringskampanjer etc kommer vara en del av din vardag och erfarenhet av liknande arbete är meriterande men även här lägger vi stor vikt vid din personliga lämplighet.
Vi erbjuder tillgång till ett brett nätverk inom livebranschen men förväntar oss också att du har förmågan att efterhand bygga ditt eget nätverk och bygga nära relationer med alla relevanta aktörer. Till din hjälp har du ett team med årtionden av erfarenhet inom allt som rör turnéverksamhet.
Branscherfarenhet och/eller passande utbildning kan givetvis vara meriterande för båda tjänsterna men för oss handlar det i ännu större utsträckning om intrycket vi får av dig som person. Vi ser därför hellre en ansökan där vi får en så god bild som möjligt av vem du är än ett fåordigt CV i punktform. Var kreativ för all del och inkludera gärna en spellista, men skickar du din egen musik är du automatiskt diskvalificerad. Nämn också tydligt vilken av tjänsterna du söker.
