Satanic Surfers confirmed for Amnesia Rockfest

We are very excited to announce that Satanic Surfers are confirmed for Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, Canada on June 20th.

Satanic Surfers played a major part in the Swedish melodic punk-rock explosion that took place in the mid nineties. Combining strong melodies and fast paced punk-rock with both personal and political lyrics, the band soon reached audiences all over the world and sold hundreds of thousands of albums.

After deciding to take a break back in 2005 they are now finally back and have reunited for select shows in 2015!

Nineteen years. Twelve albums. Two Gold Records. Thirty-plus transatlantic treks. Fifteen Top 40 singles. Arena tours across 11 countries with Guns N Roses. A video trilogy featuring Elijah Wood, Selma Blair, Ralph Macchio, Jena Malone and Lemmy. For most bands, that would amount to a hell of a career. For Toronto trio Danko Jones, it’s called “warming up.”

Now the time has come for their next chapter, the release of Fire Music, their full-length emotional journey of blood, sweat and anger compiled into 11 tracks OUT TODAY!

The first two songs that were released from the album have received an amazing response and a lot of exposure, the teaser track “Gonna Be A Fight Tonight” as the theme song for one of the biggest wrestling events there is – WWE’s Royal Rumble and the first single “Do You Wanna Rock” through extensive airplay all over the world. With these two tracks they’ve set the tone and the bar for the rest of the album!

Danko have already announced their biggest Canadian tour in many years along with a string of headline dates across Europe and the first batch of summer festivals. Shows are already starting to sell out and the band couldn’t be more excited about visiting all corners of the world in combination with the Fire Music world tour that just commenced.

Tomas Andersson Wij i Filip & Fredriks film Trevligt Folk

Nyligen hade Filip och Fredriks biodokumentär “Trevligt Folk” premiär och vi är väldigt stolta över att höra två av Tomas Andersson Wijs låtar i filmen, Sommaren 77 och Landet vi föddes i.

Som första afrikanska lag någonsin har Somalia precis anmält sig till bandy-VM. De unga spelarna bor dock inte i Somalia. De bor i Borlänge. Och ingen av dem har någonsin stått på ett par skridskor. VM i Sibirien börjar om sex månader. Någon tycks ha tänkt väldigt långt utanför boxen… 

G-Eazy confirmed to play Roskilde Festival

We are very excited to announce our first show with Oakland rapper and rising star G-Eazy who will play this year’s Roskilde Festival. His debut studio album, “These Things Happen” released in June last year entered at #3 on the Billboard 200 and contains the hit single “I Mean It”. Check it out below!

As we’ve previously announced, Run The Jewels are also set to play this year’s Roskilde Festival.

Run The Jewels plays Way Out West 2015

We are very excited to announce Run The Jewels‘ return to Sweden. They are confirmed to play Way Out West 2015 which takes place in Gothenburg between Aug 13-15th. This is in addition to three previously announced Scandinavian festivals – Roskilde, Slottsfjell and Øya. Last year’s “Run the Jewels 2” received widespread acclaim and was named #1 album of the year by Pitchfork.

Tomas Andersson Wij – Ensam på scen [UPPDATERAD]

Tomas Andersson Wijs karriär är unik. Hans album har aldrig legat etta på topplistorna och han har aldrig haft en stor radiohit. Men för varje gång han packat upp sin akustiska gitarr har det kommit några fler och lyssnat, och för varje ny skiva har hans säregna ton trängt lite djupare in i svenskarna. 16 år efter debuten är han en av landets stora artister, tillika en eftertraktad låtskrivare och översättare åt andra.

I oktober 2014 släppte Tomas Andersson Wij sitt nya, kritikerrosade album “Mörkrets hastighet”. Dessutom är han aktuell med “Gå rakt fram och över husen”, ett urval sångtexter i bokform.  Skivan och boken följdes upp med välbesökta konserter på teatrar i Stockholm,  Göteborg,  Malmö och Jönköping.

Under våren fortsätter TAW sin resa genom Sverige med en serie akustiska solokonserter. Många menar att det är så man helst ska se honom: ensam på scen. Tomas Andersson Wij är en av få i landet som kan trollbinda en publik i två timmar med bara sånger, gitarrspel och historieberättande.

Danko theme song + live tweeting from WWE Royal Rumble tonight

Danko Jones’ anthemic track “Gonna Be A Fight Tonight”, taken from their upcoming album, was recently chosen as the theme song for WWE’s Royal Rumble and has been used extensively during all WWE shows and online clips in the past week. Today the wait is finally over. The big match will take place at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia at 8PM Eastern time tonight (and also be shown as a Pay Per View event reaching 650 million households) and Danko will be livetweeting throughout the entire fight!
