The nominees are official and Timbuktu is up for 2 awards for Best Live and Best Dressed at Kingsizegalan 2013 in February. Our man Chords scored no less than three nominations for Best Album, Best Solo Artist and Best Producer. Chords ia also a part of the crew Kwaai who are up for Best Original.

We can happily announce that Timbuktu & Damn! – Full Ära as well as Chords – Looped State Of Mind are both nominated for a Swedish Grammy 2013 in the category HipHop/Soul. Both albums are highly acclaimed by critics and have proved during the musical year of 2012 what Swedish HipHop is all about.
23,301,823 Swedish kronor! A record amount, for Swedish Musikhjälpen, was collected to help children in the slum to get clean water. We would like to congratulate everybody who have been involved and we are very proud and moved to see such generosity around us. Apart from Jason (Timbuktu) being a host for the show we also had some artist come play and raise awareness and money for the cause. It’s official; Chords is opening for Kendrick Lamar on his upcoming tour dates in Sweden in February 2013. Kendrick has said to have released the best hiphop-album internationally this year, and according to the media Chords is the representative for the best Swedish hiphop-album of 2012 so this will undoubtedly be three nights to remember.

On November 30th it’s time for the 25th anniversary of the Eliason Merit Award in Los Angeles. This years winner is Dolp Lundgren, a world famous Swedish movie star. The event holds silent auctions and collects funds for the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce for their work in the greater Los Angeles area .
